PMU -BACKGROUND

SUA Procurement Management Unit (PMU) is one among the newly established independent Units within the University, following the just ended Restructuring Exercise and hence now reports directly to the office of the Vice Chancellor.

The PMU Central Office is currently still at SUA Main Campus, 1st Floor of SUA Administration Building.

SUA PMU has three sections namely; Logistic and Supplies Section Procurement Section and Inventory Control Section.

SUA PMU is headed by the Head of PMU/Chief Supplies Officer who is also a Secretary of the University Tender Board as prescribed under 2nd Schedule of the Public Procurement Act, No. 7 of 2011.

SUA PMU as a unit, not only act as secretariat of the Tender Board, but also ensure procurement functions of the University are carried out as required   by the Public Procurement Act, 2011 (G.N. 445) and its Regulations, 2013 (G.N. No. 446)
